Sony Spectralayers Pro OverviewSony Spectralayers Pro is an application which can be used for processing your audio files. It uses a unique method to edit your audio files and that is in spectral realms an entirely different approach than the one many other editing applications use. You can also download AudaCity. What it does is that it displays the audio sample which you need to edit and instead of playing with its amplitude you will have to manipulate on its frequency. One interesting thing about this software is that you will edit the audio files with different brushes just like you edit your photos in different photo editing applications like Photoshop etc. Just like in an image you use a brush to remove its noise you can apply brushes on audio files to reduce noise. In this application waveform display is used as a reference point for the work you do in the spectrograph. In the waveform display time is displayed on the horizontal axis while the amplitude is displayed on the vertical axis. In the Spectro display frequency is on the vertical axis. There are four selection tools available to select a specific range of the audio content. These tools are rectangular, elliptical, time range and frequency range. Rectangular selection tool will allow you to select four sided selection while elliptical selection tool will let you select the curved area. Time Range selection tool will let you select the user defined time range. Frequency range selection tool will let you select noncontiguous frequency bands.
