The Copperphone is a custom instrument (+2.000 samples) made from modified Copper pipes. The end-result is a 12 pipe instrument that sounds that sounds somewhere between pristine bells and metallic marimba of sorts. The Copperphone contains five core deep-sampled articulation types, which were made by playing the instrument with hard mallet, soft mallet, wooden mallet, muted notes and finger nails. The hard mallet, wooden and finger nails have the most pronounced attack – where the soft mallet has a more smooth and relaxed tone. The muted articulation is a non-sustained sample of the Copperphone. The Copperphone contains 32 of additional patches, which are partially modified versions of the core patches with filter control, delay, reverb, convolutions and so forth. You will also find 15 custom ambiences that were all 100% made with the Copperphone, so the ambiences blend completely with the Copperphone itself. All the core patches were deep-sampled extensively in several velocity layers and with 8 x round robin (repetition) pr. layer.
